Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2's early access launch earlier this week wasn't entirely smooth, with players reporting various problems. These included server connectivity issues, frame rate drops, stuttering, black screens, and prolonged loading times. A significant issue involved the PvE Operations mode, where the "Joining Server Bug" left players trapped on connection screens.
Focus Home Entertainment responded to player feedback, expressing gratitude for the reports and assuring players that solutions are underway. Their statement acknowledged the issues and confirmed active development of fixes. They also highlighted other reported problems, such as crashes during initial cinematic sequences and controller malfunctions.
Furthermore, Focus Home clarified that linking Steam and Epic accounts is unnecessary for gameplay. The team emphasized that account linking is entirely optional and won't affect the gaming experience.
For players encountering server connection problems, the developers suggest attempting matchmaking again if returned to the main menu or Battle Barge after a failed connection.
