Nine years after its initial launch, Rainbow Six Siege is getting a massive overhaul with Rainbow Six Siege X. Announced on February 17, 2025, by Ubisoft, the full details will be revealed during a showcase on March 13, 2025, at 10:00 am (PDT) / 1:00 pm (EDT) in Atlanta, Georgia. This immersive event promises a unique Siege experience, bringing players, creators, and developers together to unveil the evolutions of Siege X and more surprises.

In-person attendance requires a USD $10 ticket, including an exclusive long-sleeve shirt and an in-game cosmetic pack. Eligibility is limited to legal residents of the USA and Canada, aged 18 or older, with a good standing Rainbow Six Siege account (no bans or sanctions).

Ubisoft is also offering two lucky fans a VIP package including hotel stay, roundtrip flight, and event entry. This giveaway is also limited to legal residents of the USA and Canada.

Siege X boasts new gameplay mechanics, enhanced tactical gameplay, refined game feel, and significant overall upgrades. Specific details will be unveiled at the showcase.

Rainbow Six Siege's 10th Anniversary and Operation Prep Phase

Initially released on December 1, 2015, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC (Rainbow Six Siege later arrived on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2020), the game has seen numerous updates over the years, establishing itself as a long-running live-service shooter. Siege X aims to further extend the franchise's lifespan.

A February 17, 2025 Steam post announced a new operator, Aurora, with deployable bulletproof doors, a new elite skin for Aruni, and a new reputation system rewarding or penalizing player behavior. These additions launch in Season 1 of Year 10, Operation Prep Phase, on March 4, 2025, celebrating the game's 10th anniversary.

Given the Season 10 launch date and the Rainbow Six Siege X showcase timing, the major Siege X upgrades will likely be implemented on live servers at a later date.
