Announced back in June 2020, with glimpses shared over the years, skate. is finally ready for its console playtest on PlayStation and Xbox. While a PC beta date remains unannounced, fans can register as Insiders to stay updated.
According to the game's official X (formerly Twitter) account, console playtesting has been underway since at least December, possibly even September, as evidenced by highlight reels. However, developer Full Circle actively encourages new players to sign up, as development continues.
To participate in the beta, visit EA's official website and navigate to the skate. page to register for the Skate Insider Playtesting program. Besides early access to the game, Insiders will receive exclusive rewards, including an in-game skateboard and stickers upon the Early Access launch.
skate. is slated for Early Access release sometime in 2025. This marks a significant return for the franchise, nearly a decade after Skate 3, and will be available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Set in the fictional city of San Vansterdam, it's designed as a free-to-play, live-service game promising an "authentic evolution" of the nearly 20-year-old series, as Full Circle detailed in a previous YouTube interview.
