Path of Exile 2: How to Get Loot Filters on Console

Author : Grace Update:Mar 22,2025

Quick Links

Loot filters are invaluable in Path of Exile 2, especially as the item drops increase. They significantly reduce screen clutter, highlighting crucial items and streamlining the looting process. While managing items manually on console can be cumbersome, PlayStation and Xbox players can utilize loot filters just like PC players. However, the setup process is slightly different, so this guide will walk you through it.

How to Link Path of Exile 2 and Console Accounts

To use loot filters on console, you must first link your console account to your Path of Exile account via the Path of Exile 1 website. Follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the Path of Exile website.
  2. Click your account name in the upper-left corner.
  3. Select "Manage Account" on the right, below your profile information.
  4. Under "Secondary Login," click "Connect" for either Sony (PS) or Microsoft (Xbox).

After clicking "Connect," you'll be prompted to log in to your PlayStation or Xbox account. Complete the process to link your accounts.

Finding and Using Loot Filters

With your accounts linked, return to your profile page on the website and click the "Item Filters" button on the right. Then, click the "Item Filter Ladder" hyperlink. This opens a new tab displaying available loot filters for Path of Exile 2.

Select "PoE 2" from the drop-down menu above the filter list. Choose your preferred filter and click the "Follow" button on its page. For new players, NeverSink's semi-strict or regular filters are recommended for a balanced experience.

Finally, in-game, navigate to the Options menu, then the Game tab. At the top, select the "Item Filter" option. Your followed filter should appear in the drop-down menu. Select it and click "Save." Items will now be differently labeled, colored, or have unique sound effects based on your chosen filter.
