At 60 years old, the iconic Keanu Reeves is set to reprise his role as the legendary hitman. The announcement came straight from the stage at CinemaCon, delivered by Adam Fogelson, the chair of the Lionsgate Motion Picture Group.

The production of John Wick: Chapter 5 is already underway, with the powerhouse team behind the franchise returning. Thunder Road's Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee, along with franchise director and producer Chad Stahelski, and of course, star and producer Keanu Reeves, are all involved. While fans are eager to know more, no specific release window has been provided yet.

The decision to greenlight another installment in the mainline John Wick series is understandable, especially given the massive success of John Wick: Chapter 4, which grossed over $440 million worldwide. Each film in the series has remarkably outperformed its predecessor, making it a rare and impressive feat in the industry.
