Disney Mirrorverse, the mobile action RPG featuring a unique blend of Disney and Pixar characters, is shutting down. Developer Kabam announced the game's end-of-service (EOS) date as December 16th, 2024.
The game has already been removed from the Google Play Store, and all in-app purchases are disabled. Players have approximately three months remaining to enjoy the game before the servers are permanently closed.
Launched in June 2022, Disney Mirrorverse initially generated significant excitement among Disney fans. However, a prolonged beta period and infrequent content updates contributed to player attrition.
While boasting impressive character designs and visuals, the game's challenging shard collection system, requiring substantial in-game spending for character maximization, hindered its long-term success. The recent addition of Cinderella and new story content just a week before the EOS announcement further surprised and disappointed many players.
This isn't Kabam's first game closure; they previously shut down Transformers: Forged to Fight and a Marvel Contest of Champions spin-off.
