In Avowed, treasure maps unlock fantastic rewards, and the Intimidating Feline Codpiece Map is your first opportunity. Here's how to complete it.
Where to Find the Intimidating Feline Codpiece Map
Upon reaching the Living Lands and meeting Garryck and possibly Ilora, you'll find a trio of merchants. Lynna sells the "Treasure Map – Intimidating Feline Codpiece" for 115. Purchase it; it'll be in your Journal's Documents section under Paradis. The map's lore is quite amusing: "My husband spent a fortune on this stelgaer codpiece to spice things up in the bedroom. Now he’s dead on account of a weak heart. I want nothing to do with that tasteless (though brutally effective) garment, so I leave it to the gods to find a worthy bearer.”
Locating the Treasure
Head east from the Gods’ Gate Beacon (east of Paradis, north of Southern Embrace on the map). Avoid a potential tough fight at the Yellowband Camp by skirting its southern and eastern edges. At the road fork, go right.
You'll find a boarded-up area. Break the boards and open the chest to the left.
Rewards
The chest contains Stelgaer’s Pride armor, along with Golden Scelling (6), Silver Fenning (8), a Common Arquebus, Bear Claw, Pelt (2), and Softwood Branch (2).

Best Builds for Stelgaer’s Pride
Stelgaer’s Pride is an excellent early-game armor, especially for physical builds. Even spellswords will find it useful initially.
