After months of speculation and leaks, Bethesda is set to officially unveil the long-awaited remake of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The announcement is scheduled for tomorrow at 11:00 am EST and will be streamed on both YouTube and Twitch.
The announcement was teased by Bethesda's official Twitter/X account with an image featuring a prominent "IV" and a background reminiscent of iconic Oblivion artwork, strongly hinting at what fans can expect.
Rumors of an Oblivion remake have circulated for years, gaining traction with a 2020 leak from a Bethesda release schedule during the FTC vs. Microsoft trial in 2023, which mentioned an Oblivion remaster planned for fiscal year 2022. Although the document's age and missed release window initially suggested the project might have been canceled, further leaks in January of this year confirmed that Bethesda, with the help of support studio Virtuos, was working on a full-blown remake. The most recent leaks from Virtuos' website last week, showcasing the remake in action, all but confirmed these reports.
If these latest leaks hold true, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered will be available on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. The game is expected to come in a standard version as well as a Deluxe Edition, which includes the iconic horse armor.
Be sure to tune in tomorrow for the official confirmation and more exciting details about The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion remake.
