Surprise! Sybo Games has quietly released a new Subway Surfers title for iOS and Android! Subway Surfers City, a sequel to the wildly popular original, is currently in soft launch. While we haven't played it yet, app store listings reveal improved graphics and many features added to the original over the years, including familiar characters and hoverboards.
The soft launch is currently limited to specific regions. iOS users in the UK, Canada, Denmark, Indonesia, Netherlands, and the Philippines can download it. Android users can access it in Denmark and the Philippines.
A Bold Move?
Creating a sequel to their flagship title is a gamble for Sybo. The original Subway Surfers, while immensely successful, shows its age, particularly with its aging Unity engine. This stealth launch is a curious approach for such a globally recognized mobile franchise.
We're eager to see player reception and the game's eventual global release. Fingers crossed it meets expectations!
