He emphasized a commitment to completing the current project, clarifying that while it was initially conceived as a potential third JRPG series alongside Persona and Shin Megami Tensei, the immediate focus is on establishing it as a flagship title. While a sequel isn't on the immediate horizon, an anime adaptation is being considered.

Metaphor: ReFantazio has achieved remarkable success, becoming Atlus' most successful platform launch to date. Its concurrent player count peaked at over 85,961, surpassing the concurrent player counts of Persona 5 Royal (35,474) and Persona 3 Reload (45,002). The game is available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
