Xbox Game Pass introduces Quests and enhanced Rewards for PC users, exclusively for players 18 and older, starting January 7th. This update includes daily, weekly, and monthly quest opportunities to earn points, along with the return of weekly streaks. Players can earn rewards by playing at least 15 minutes of any Game Pass title, but access to these new features is restricted to those 18 and above.
Microsoft's changes to Game Pass aim to create age-appropriate gaming experiences. Previously exclusive to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Quests are now available to PC Game Pass subscribers. Players 18 and older with an active Ultimate or PC Game Pass membership can access Quests and the Rewards Hub through their profile. A minimum playtime is required to earn points, and only Game Pass catalog titles (excluding those with third-party launchers) are eligible.
Key Game Pass Quests & Rewards Changes:
- PC Game Pass Quest Access: Available January 7th.
- New Quests:
- Daily Play: Earn 10 points daily for 15 minutes of playtime.
- Weekly Streaks: Play for at least five days a week; longer streaks earn increased point multipliers (2x for two weeks, 3x for three, 4x for four or more).
- Monthly 4-Pack/8-Pack: Play four (or eight) different games for 15 minutes each to earn points. The 4-Pack counts towards the 8-Pack.
- PC Weekly Bonus: 150 points for playing at least 15 minutes for five or more days.
- Age Restriction: The Rewards Hub and associated features are unavailable to players under 18.
The updated system simplifies earning rewards with daily, weekly, and monthly opportunities. Maintaining weekly streaks significantly boosts point accumulation. Daily points are earned through any Game Pass game, while monthly packs encourage exploring the catalog's diverse offerings.
An 18+ PC weekly bonus provides additional incentive. Microsoft emphasizes its commitment to age-appropriate content, restricting the new benefits to players 18 and older. Younger players can only earn rewards through parentally approved purchases from the Microsoft Store. This update aims to enhance the Game Pass experience for all eligible members.
