It looks like the wait is almost over for fans eagerly anticipating the return of Call of Duty Warzone's beloved Verdansk map. The excitement is set to peak on March 10, 2025, when we'll finally get more details about its comeback.
Activision had teased us back in August with the news that Verdansk would be making a return to Warzone, but they were coy about the specifics, only hinting at a "spring 2025" timeframe. It announces "The Verdansk Collection" and features a countdown set to end on March 10, 2025, thanks to the keen eyes at InsiderGaming.
Alongside the countdown, there's a simple, tri-color sketch depicting an alpine scene with snow, pine trees, a dam, and a crashed plane. This iconic imagery will be instantly recognizable to anyone who's ever navigated the original Warzone sandbox. Verdansk was later updated to Verdansk '84 in Season 3 and then entirely replaced by Caldera in 2021. Currently, the only way to revisit this classic map is through Call of Duty Warzone Mobile.
This news is sure to thrill fans, especially after being told in 2021 that "current-day Verdansk is gone and it's not coming back." The anticipation is palpable as we count down the days to March 10.
