Vampire Survivors has just released a thrilling free DLC titled Emerald Diorama, which is a fascinating crossover with Square Enix's renowned JRPG series, SaGa. This marks the largest update to the game to date, bringing a fresh wave of content and mechanics to the beloved rogue-lite title.
Emerald Diorama Brings JRPG Vibes to Vampire Survivors
The Emerald Diorama DLC introduces a new stage designed like a mini world map, reminiscent of world-hopping in JRPGs. This stage is packed with excitement, featuring over a dozen new characters, including puppeteers and singers of cursed songs, adding a unique flair to your gameplay.
Players can now wield over 16 new weapons and engage with the innovative Glimmer system, which allows you to randomly acquire new skills during your runs. The auditory experience is enhanced with nine new music tracks, immersing you deeper into the game's atmosphere.
To unlock the Emerald Diorama, head to Moongolow and interact with a new merchant. Purchase the Emerald Disk for 50,000 gold, and you can then unlock the content piece by piece. The DLC also introduces character parties, enabling you to form your own mini squad for a more collaborative experience.
Additionally, the DLC includes two new Adventures, which are mini-campaigns with six chapters each. "To End an Ice Age" is designed for the base game, while "Tides of the Foscari" expands the new DLC's content.
Alongside the DLC, There’s Another Free Update
Simultaneously, the base game has received a free update called The Coop, centered around chickens. This update introduces a new character named Gazebo, a new weapon, and a relic that accelerates gameplay. Players can also unlock numerous achievements and access Darkana by collecting 500 lifetime floor chickens, fully unlocking The Coop's potential.
For an optimal experience with The Coop, refrain from killing any enemies for the first minute of your run. This strategy will unlock the Gaze of Gaea, and evolving it with Parm Aegis will further unlock Gazebo.
Vampire Survivors, along with the free DLC Emerald Diorama and the free update The Coop, is available on the Google Play Store. The game now supports cross-platform saving, allowing you to continue your progress across PC, Xbox, Android, and iOS.
