Six Magnetic Zonai Devices Added to Gachapon
Nintendo Tokyo's gacha machine (also known as a gachapon) now features six magnetic capsule toys based on the iconic Zonai Devices from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. These are exclusive to the Tokyo store.
While the game boasts a wide variety of Zonai Devices, this collection includes the Fan, Flame Emitter, Portable Pot, Shock Emitter, Big Wheel, and Rocket. Each miniature device features a magnet designed to resemble the Ultrahand's adhesive, mirroring the in-game fusion mechanic. The capsules themselves are styled after the game's Device Dispensers.
Unlike in the game, obtaining these collectibles requires a monetary investment. Each capsule costs approximately $4, and purchases are limited to two capsules at a time. To try again, customers must rejoin the queue, which may be lengthy given the game's popularity.
Previous Nintendo Gachapon Releases
Nintendo's gachapon initiatives began in June 2021 with the Controller Button Collection, featuring keychain replicas of Famicom and NES controller buttons. A second wave, released in July 2024, expanded the collection to include SNES, N64, and GameCube controller designs.
These collectibles are available at Nintendo Stores in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto, and also at the Nintendo Check-In booth at Narita Airport (for the controller keychains). While the Zonai Devices are currently Tokyo-exclusive, future availability at other locations or through resellers (at potentially inflated prices) remains a possibility.
