Gacha game enthusiasts are always keen on keeping tabs on the financial performance of their favorite titles, and the figures for January 2025 have just been released, offering intriguing insights into the genre's landscape.
Last month, Genshin Impact rolled out a significant update featuring the pyro archon, Mawuika, which drew substantial attention. The banner's impact was evident as miHoYo's (HoYoverse) flagship title saw its revenues soar to $99.4 million, a remarkable doubling from December 2024's $45.6 million.

In the race for second place, Pokemon TCG pulled in $64 million, while the widely popular "female gacha" game, Love and Deepspace, secured the third spot with $55.2 million in earnings.
Honkai Star Rail experienced a dip in its earnings, reporting $50.8 million for the month. Meanwhile, Zenless Zone Zero saw a significant decline, with revenues halving from $57.9 million in December to $26.3 million in January.
It's important to note that these rankings exclusively reflect earnings from mobile platforms, although some games, such as those from miHoYo, are also available on PC. A crucial aspect of the revenue calculation is also highlighted: "Since Google Play does not operate in China, the estimates for Android data in China are calculated using a multiplier based on iOS revenue within the country."
