Ticket to Ride launches new Switzerland expansion

Author : Lillian Update:Mar 17,2025

Switzerland and its neighboring countries are now open for business in Ticket to Ride! This new Switzerland expansion introduces both country-to-country and city-to-country routes to the popular digital strategy board game, adding a new layer of strategic depth to your railroad empire building. Expand your network through scenic Swiss landscapes and beyond!

The expansion also delivers a festive gift for Ticket to Ride fans: two brand-new characters and four fresh tokens, perfect for holiday gameplay. Marmalade Games, the developer, aimed to release this expansion as a seasonal treat, offering not only new locations but also exciting new mechanics. These new routes will challenge both seasoned players and newcomers, encouraging dynamic and adaptable strategies.

Country-to-country tickets require connecting one country to another, offering multiple options and varying point values depending on your chosen connection (e.g., France to Germany, Italy, or Austria). Similarly, city-to-country tickets connect a city to a country, adding another layer of strategic choice. Each country boasts a specific number of nodes, demanding careful planning to secure the most advantageous routes.

Upon completion, points are awarded based on the highest-scoring connection for each ticket. Conversely, failure to complete a ticket results in a point deduction based on the ticket's lowest value.

The Switzerland Expansion is available now on Google Play, the App Store, and Steam, with PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox releases coming soon. For more Ticket to Ride news and updates, follow Marmalade Games on Facebook and Instagram.
