Finding Rosa's Book in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2: A Crucial Side Quest
Missing side quests can lead to failure in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, and Rosa's Book is one such easily overlooked task. This guide details its location and importance.
Unlocking the Quest:
Before Rosa requests the book, complete "Via Argentum" and begin "Taking French Leave." After assisting the Ruthard family with Vavak (through combat or diplomacy), speak with Rosa. She'll reveal a secret passage to Maleshov, crucial for rescuing Hans, and then request a book from you. Inquiring about the book and promising to retrieve it initiates "Rosa's Book."
This quest is only available during "Taking French Leave." Leaving Maleshov without the book results in quest failure, preventing a potential romance with Rosa.
Locating the Book:
Hans is located in the tallest tower in Maleshov. Use the side stairs to enter, then locate a small kitchen. Wait for the guards above to leave, then proceed upstairs.
You'll find Lady Ofka in a room. Knock her out, take her keys and the sword from the chest. Rosa's book is a red volume in a window alcove to the right of the fireplace. Grab it; your objective updates to returning it to Rosa.
While there, take the sword from the chest in the adjacent room – this provides the two weapons needed for Hans and his unexpected guest. Unlock the door on the left of the top floor to trigger a cutscene.
Completing the Quest:
After the cutscene, continue "Taking French Leave." Guide Hans to the stables, clearing the path. Following the final cutscene, return to Kuttenberg City and deliver the book to Rosa at Ruthard Palace. Remember, dialogue choices influence your relationship with both Hans and Rosa.
