Romancing SaGa Re:universe's global server is closing on December 2nd, 2024. While the Japanese version continues, this marks the end of the global edition's four-year run.
A Final Two Months
With the December shutdown approaching, in-app purchases and Google Play Points exchanges have already ceased following the September 29th maintenance.
Launched in June 2020, the global version of Romancing SaGa Re:universe, despite its attractive visuals, engaging soundtrack, and generous gacha mechanics, received a mixed reception. Unlike its popular Japanese counterpart, the global version lacked significant content updates, notably the Solistia expansion and 6-star unit upgrades. The absence of this content, available in Japan for nearly a year, contributed to player dissatisfaction and ultimately, the game's closure.

Square Enix has already shuttered several titles this year, including Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius and two Dragon Quest mobile games, adding Romancing SaGa Re:universe (global) to the list.
This turn-based RPG, based on the classic SaGa series, offers players two remaining months to enjoy its gameplay. If you're curious, download it from the Google Play Store.
