Respawn Entertainment, in partnership with Bit Reactor—a studio established by former XCOM developers—will officially unveil their new Star Wars tactical strategy game on April 19, 2025. The announcement is set to occur during the Star Wars Celebration event in Japan, offering fans an eagerly awaited first look at the project.
The game was first announced in 2022, but information has been limited until now. Recent reports indicate that the title is being crafted using Unreal Engine 5 and will incorporate turn-based combat, providing players with a rich tactical experience within the beloved Star Wars universe.

Despite significant layoffs at EA earlier this year, developers reassured fans in March 2024 that the project remains on track and unaffected. The upcoming reveal is anticipated to include crucial details about the game, along with a potential trailer to highlight its gameplay and visual aesthetics.
According to the official event website, the presentation will feature a developer panel hosted by Bit Reactor, Respawn Entertainment, and Lucasfilm Games. Scheduled for 4:30 PM–5:30 PM local time on the Galaxy Stage, the session promises attendees an exclusive first glimpse of the new turn-based tactical adventure.
