The 2025 PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) has kicked off, drawing an impressive 90,000 competitors eager to showcase their skills in the year's first international PUBG Mobile Esports event. The Open Qualifiers, which began on February 13th, are your golden ticket to rise through the ranks and secure a coveted spot in the PMGO Main Event.
With a staggering $500,000 prize pool at stake, the competition is fierce. Teams must navigate multiple rounds to prove their mettle and stand a chance against established PUBG Mobile Esports organizations. Notably, this tournament is exclusively for amateurs, shining a spotlight on fresh talent.
Teams boasting at least one Ultimate 500-ranked player from Cycle 7 Season 20 or 21 have already earned their place in Round 2 of the Open Qualifiers. Over the coming weeks, up-and-coming squads will vie for a spot in the PMGO Prelims, where they'll confront the top teams from the Uzbekistan Offline Qualifiers.
From the Prelims, twelve teams will advance to the PMGO Main Event, where they'll challenge the cream of the crop in PUBG Mobile's professional scene. Four professional teams, Regnum Carya, Nigma Galaxy, 4Merical Vibes, and Influence Rage, have already secured their spots based on their stellar performances at the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2024. Four additional squads will join them from regional competitions like the PMSL SEA Spring, PMGO Korea Qualifier, and the Peacekeeper Elite League Spring season.
The Open Qualifiers are set to conclude on March 2nd, paving the way for the Prelims on April 10th-11th, and culminating in the Main Event on April 12th-13th. This tournament heralds the beginning of a packed year for PUBG Mobile Esports, with the PUBG Mobile World Cup and the PMGC slated to return later in 2025.
