SEA Shock Point Test: Philippines Only (For Now!)
Alongside pre-registration, Project NET announced a limited beta test, the "Shock Point Test," opening on March 4th, 2025. This test is currently exclusive to players in the Philippines and will be available on Android devices only. Access will be limited, the test is non-monetized, and all data will be wiped after completion. A similar test will also launch in Russia; details are available on the RU website. The developers are actively optimizing the game for a wider global release.
Here’s the official schedule for SEA Shock Point Test Recruitment Registration:
Following completion of the recruitment questionnaire, successful applicants will receive confirmation emails between March 24th and 26th, 2025. Further test qualifications will be distributed throughout the testing period (dates to be announced).
Project NET: A Girls’ Frontline Successor?
First announced on December 27th, 2024, by Sunborn Network (the creators of Girls’ Frontline), Project NET underwent its initial localized test in several SEA countries (Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines) from January 9th to 16th, 2025.
Building on the success of the original Girls’ Frontline (a popular strategy RPG gacha game launched in 2016, with an anime series and other games following), and its recent sequel, Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium (released December 5th, 2024), Project NET promises familiar characters and aesthetics within its third-person shooter gameplay.
While no official release date has been announced, Project NET will be available on iOS and Android, based on the devices used in the initial test.
