The latest expansion for Pokémon TCG Pocket, Shining Revelry, has arrived, dazzling players with over 110 new cards and shiny variants. The excitement is palpable, especially with the inclusion of cards from the Paldea region. Eager to dive into the new content, I immediately used a significant number of my Pack Hourglasses to open ten packs. My luck shone brightly when I pulled a Charizard EX, though the rest of the haul was less exciting. However, pulling a Pokémon Center Lady card was a silver lining; her ability to heal Special Conditions like Burn can be a game-changer in tense matches.
Alongside the new cards, the update introduces an Emblem event, allowing players to earn stylish new badges to show off to friends. But the real thrill comes with the upcoming Ranked Matches. Players will soon be able to battle other Trainers, climbing from Beginner to Master Ball Rank. Your performance will be tracked with points, and at the end of each approximately one-month season, you'll receive an emblem reflecting your achievements. This has me motivated to dust off my dueling skills and start crafting competitive decks.
If you're excited to join the fray, you can download Pokémon TCG Pocket for free on the App Store and Google Play, though be aware of the in-app purchases.
