Pokémon TCG Pocket Is Dropping a Trade Feature and Space-Time Smackdown Expansion Soon

Pokémon TCG Pocket is set to elevate your gaming experience with some thrilling updates on the horizon. The much-anticipated trading feature is finally making its way into the game, allowing you to swap cards with your friends. Alongside this, the Space-Time Smackdown expansion is gearing up to introduce new elements to your collection.

When Is Pokémon TCG Pocket Dropping Space-Time Smackdown and Trading?

Mark your calendars! Starting January 29th, 2025, you'll be able to engage in trading within Pokémon TCG Pocket. Following closely, the Space-Time Smackdown expansion will launch on January 30th, 2025. This update not only brings new cards but also enhances your digital binder and display board with fresh covers featuring Dialga, Palkia, and Darkrai.

The introduction of trading has been eagerly awaited by fans. To participate, you'll need two new items: trade hourglasses and trade tokens. Keep in mind that you can only trade cards with rarity levels 1-4 and ★1. Initially, trading will be limited to cards from the Genetic Apex and Mythical Island expansions, with the promise of more tradeable cards in upcoming updates.

The Space-Time Smackdown expansion focuses on the Sinnoh region, bringing two new booster packs centered around the Legendary Pokémon Dialga and Palkia. These packs will feature stunning new card illustrations. Additionally, you'll have the chance to add Lucario, the formidable steel-and-fighting type, and the beloved Sinnoh starters Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup to your collection.
