Pause Game During Quests and Hunts in Monster Hunter Wilds
To pause your game in *Monster Hunter Wilds*, simply bring up the menu by pressing the Options button. Navigate over to the Systems tab using L1 or R1, and then press the X button to select the Pause Game option.
This feature allows you to completely halt the game, even during intense hunts or combat scenarios. You can resume play effortlessly by pressing the circle button or R3. It's a handy tool for those unexpected real-life interruptions that might require you to step away from your game temporarily.

Remember, in an online session, pausing traditionally isn't feasible. Also, be aware that the monster's HP pool increases with more players, so try not to go AFK for too long, as your team might need your support to tackle the challenge ahead.
