NetEase announced the end-of-service (EOS) for their popular mobile horror game, Dead by Daylight Mobile. After a four-year run on Android, the game will officially shut down. The PC and console versions remain unaffected.
For those unfamiliar, Dead by Daylight Mobile is a 4v1 survival horror game, a mobile adaptation of Behaviour Interactive's successful title. Initially released on PC in June 2016, the mobile version launched in April 2020.
The core gameplay remains the same: players choose to be either Killer or Survivor in a thrilling game of cat and mouse. Killers hunt and sacrifice Survivors, while Survivors fight for survival.
Dead by Daylight Mobile Shutdown Date:
The official EOS date is March 20th, 2025. The game will be removed from app stores on January 16th, 2025. Players who already have the game installed can continue playing until the final shutdown date.
NetEase will process refunds according to regional laws. Further details on the refund process will be released on January 16th, 2025.
Existing players can transition to the PC or console versions of Dead by Daylight. A welcome package awaits those making the switch, along with loyalty rewards based on in-game spending or XP earned on the mobile version.
In short, Dead by Daylight Mobile's servers are closing. Download it from the Google Play Store before January 16th if you want to experience it before it's gone. Also, be sure to check out our article on Tormentis Dungeon RPG, a new dungeon-building game for Android.
