LEGO has announced the launch of nine exciting new Star Wars sets, all set to hit the market on May 1, 2025. These releases align perfectly with Disney's extensive celebration of May the 4th, known as Star Wars Day, which traditionally features LEGO's unveiling of a new Ultimate Collector Series Starship. In 2023, fans were treated to Luke's X-Wing Starfighter, followed by the TIE Interceptor in 2024. This year, enthusiasts can look forward to Jango Fett's Firespray Starship, more familiarly known as Slave I, now rebranded at Disney's request since 2021. LEGO confirmed this change, which appears to be permanent, to avoid associating their brand with the term 'slave'.

The last major iteration of this LEGO starship was in 2019, featuring a 20th anniversary set with 1007 pieces, capturing the ship as seen in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. The upcoming version, with 2970 pieces, is inspired by Star Wars: Episode 2 Attack of the Clones. This new model is nearly three times larger than its predecessor, boasting dimensions of 7.5 inches high, 17.5 inches long, and 15.5 inches wide.
