Lara Croft, the iconic Tomb Raider, is raiding Naraka: Bladepoint! NetEase's martial arts battle royale recently unveiled its third-anniversary plans, including a collaboration with the legendary Tomb Raider franchise. This August's anniversary celebration will feature a brand-new map, Perdoria, and exciting crossovers.
The Tomb Raider series, a gaming icon since 1996, boasts a vast universe spanning comics and even an upcoming Netflix animated series. Lara Croft, its intrepid protagonist, has achieved unparalleled fame, solidifying her status as a leading female video game character. Her popularity has already led to collaborations with titles like Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, Fortnite, and Final Fantasy XV.
Now, this globe-trotting adventurer joins the fast-paced melee combat of Naraka: Bladepoint. Lara's appearance will be a skin for the agile assassin Matari, the Silver Crow. While a preview is yet to be revealed, past collaborations suggest the skin will include a complete outfit, hairstyle, and various accessories.
2024: A Year of Expansion and Transition for Naraka: Bladepoint
Naraka: Bladepoint's third anniversary is set to be massive. Besides the Tomb Raider event, players can anticipate Perdoria, the first new map in almost two years, launching July 2nd. This new map promises unique challenges and gameplay mechanics. Further collaborations are planned, including one with CD Projekt Red's The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, though a release date is still pending.
However, alongside the excitement, the game announced it will discontinue support for Xbox One by the end of August. Fortunately, all player progress and acquired cosmetics will remain linked to their Xbox accounts, ensuring a seamless transition to Xbox Series X/S or PC via Xbox.
