KonoSuba: Fantastic Days, the popular mobile RPG from Sesisoft, will cease operations on January 30th, 2025, ending a nearly five-year run. Both the global and Japanese servers will shut down simultaneously. However, a glimmer of hope remains: developers are exploring the possibility of a limited offline version, preserving the main storyline, key quests, and events for players to revisit. Details on this offline version are still scarce.
Regarding in-app purchases, all purchases have been disabled since October 31st, 2024. Existing Quartz and in-game items remain usable until the service's termination. Players eligible for refunds on unused Quartz or unclaimed purchases from early 2024 can apply until January 30th, 2025. Official channels will close on February 28th, 2025.
Launched in Japan in February 2020 and globally in August 2021, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days was the first mobile game based on the KonoSuba franchise. The game's charming narrative, appealing visuals, and visual novel-style story mode were well-received. Unfortunately, like many gacha RPGs, it succumbed to the pressures of maintaining player engagement and high production costs. Numerous anime-based games have faced similar closures this year.
With only a few months remaining, now is the time to experience KonoSuba: Fantastic Days if you haven't already. Download it from the Google Play Store. For more gaming news, check out our article on Orna: The GPS MMORPG’s Conqueror’s Guild for PvP Battles.
