The format for Six Invitational 2025 remains unchanged from 2024, but for newcomers, here's a breakdown: The competition is divided into two phases: a group stage followed by a double elimination playoff.
In the group stage, teams are divided into four groups and compete in a round-robin format. Every match is crucial, not just for survival but also for securing a better seeding in the playoffs.
- The top four teams from each group advance directly to the upper bracket of the playoffs, skipping the first round and are guaranteed at least a 9th-12th place finish.
- Teams finishing second and third in their groups also enter the upper bracket but start from the first round, with the advantage of losing one match without being eliminated.
- Fourth-placed teams start in the lower bracket, where they face a do-or-die scenario in every match.
- Teams finishing fifth in their groups are eliminated.
