Deadlock's February Update: Minor Tweaks, Major Impacts
Valve continues to roll out updates for Deadlock, this time focusing on smaller adjustments to four heroes and key items. This marks the fifth update of 2025 and the first for February. The developers have adopted a more flexible approach, releasing updates as needed rather than adhering to a strict schedule.
Calico suffered significant nerfs. Her "Return to Shadows" ability received a substantial cooldown increase (ten seconds) and a 20% speed reduction, shifted to Tier 2. The damage output of her Tier 2 "Leaping Slash" was also decreased.
Sinclair received visual enhancements with updated sounds and animations. More notably, his "Rabbit Hex" ability has been transformed into an area-of-effect (AoE) attack. Holliday and Wraith also experienced nerfs, though specifics weren't detailed.
Item changes include a reduction in stacks for "Ammo Scavenger," removing its health bonus. "Extra Stamina" and "Restorative Shot" no longer offer fire rate and weapon damage boosts, respectively.

This flexible update strategy reflects a shift in Valve's development process for Deadlock. The focus is now on addressing issues and implementing improvements as they arise, rather than following a predetermined patch schedule.
