Burglars Return to The Sims 4

Ten years of peaceful suburban life for the Sims is over! Burglars are back in a new Sims 4 update, much to the delight (or dismay) of players.

The developers have announced the return of the notorious home invaders in a recent blog post. As in previous games, installing a home security system is your best bet. A triggered alarm will summon the police to apprehend the culprit. Skilled Sims can upgrade their alarm system for enhanced reliability and automatic police alerts. If you're caught off guard without an alarm, you can always try calling the police yourself (fingers crossed they arrive on time!). Alternatively, a more diplomatic approach might involve befriending the burglar.

For players with expansion packs, more creative solutions are available. Unleash the fury of your loyal canine companion, summon the powers of spellcasters, vampires, or werewolves, or even freeze the intruder solid with a specialized ray gun. These options, however, require owning the relevant expansion packs.

The burglar update is now live and completely free for all players.
