Author : Bella Update:Mar 17,2025

Happy New Year! Welcome to 2025! Let's dive into the exciting video game releases awaiting us this year.

January 2025

Dynasty Warriors: Origins

January 17th brings the return of Tecmo Koei's Dynasty Warriors: Origins, the first mainline entry since 2018. Expect a visually stunning experience, leveraging current-gen power to deliver the signature chaotic battles and satisfying "DIE, NASTY WARRIORS!" moments. Available on PS5, Xbox Series consoles, and PC.

If you prefer a more… precise approach to eliminating foes, Sniper Elite: Resistance arrives on January 30th. This latest installment continues the series' tradition of long-range sniping and… well, let's just say it's not shy about showcasing the consequences of well-placed shots. Available on all Xbox and PlayStation consoles, plus PC.

February 2025

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

February 11th sees the release of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, continuing Henry of Skalitz's adventures in 14th-century Bohemia. Prepare for a historically-rich, immersive RPG experience with deep mechanics and a massive open world. Available on current-gen consoles and PC.

Also launching on February 11th is Sid Meier's Civilization VII. This legendary 4X strategy game needs little introduction; guide your civilization through the ages, exploring, expanding, exploiting, and exterminating your way to global domination. Available on almost every platform, including Linux (but not mobile… yet).

On February 14th, Assassin's Creed Shadows transports the franchise to feudal Japan, allowing players to experience the thrill of being both a ninja and a samurai thanks to its dual protagonists. Available on current-gen consoles and PC.

Feeling lonely on Valentine's Day? Date Everything! (February 14th) offers a unique sandbox dating sim where you can potentially romance… well, everything. From windows to walls, over 100 anthropomorphic inanimate objects await, all fully voice-acted. Available on PS5, Xbox Series consoles, Switch, and PC.

Monster Hunter Wilds

Obsidian's Avowed (February 18th) arrives on Xbox Series consoles and PC, offering a first-person perspective and real-time combat within the Pillars of Eternity universe. Expect a more focused experience compared to some other open-world RPGs.

For those seeking high-seas adventures, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii (February 21st) lets you sail the seas as Goro Majima, the fan-favorite Yakuza character, after a bout of amnesia leads him down an unexpected path. Available on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC.

Finally, February 28th brings Monster Hunter Wilds to Xbox Series, PS5, and PC. Capcom aims to refine the core experience while introducing new features to appeal to both veterans and newcomers.

March 2025

Split Fiction

March 6th sees the release of Hazelight's Split Fiction, a co-op adventure promising bizarre and hilarious scenarios. One copy unlocks online co-op play. Available on PC and current-gen consoles.

For a more tranquil experience, Tales of the Shire (March 25th) offers a cozy life sim focused on the everyday lives of hobbits in Middle-earth. Available on PS5, Xbox Series consoles, Switch, and PC.

Prefer post-apocalyptic settings? Atomfall (March 27th) blends Fallout and Stalker influences, offering a survival-focused experience in a ravaged countryside. Available on all platforms except Switch.

Also on March 27th, The First Berserker: Khazan expands the Dungeon Fighter Online universe with a single-player action RPG. Available on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC.

March 28th brings inZOI to PC, a visually stunning life sim with the potential to disrupt the life sim market. Console versions are planned for later.
