HoYoVerse's parent company, MiHoYo, has been busy! Their upcoming game, originally titled Astaweave Haven, is getting a fresh name and a potential genre shift. Even before a proper reveal, the game is undergoing significant changes.
If you're a fan of gacha or RPGs, you may have already heard whispers of Astaweave Haven. While official details from MiHoYo are scarce, early indications suggest a departure from their typical open-world gacha formula. Instead of another open-world gacha adventure, Astaweave Haven is shaping up to be a life simulation or management game, reminiscent of titles like Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley.
This brings us to the exciting news: MiHoYo has rebranded Astaweave Haven as Petit Planet! The new name is undeniably charming and hints at the game's likely genre, further distancing it from MiHoYo's usual gacha RPGs.
Release Date Uncertainty:
The game is still under development, lacking an official release date. While Astaweave Haven received approval in China for PC and mobile in July, HoYoVerse registered Petit Planet on October 31st, with US and UK approvals pending.
Given MiHoYo's rapid development cycle (consider the quick turnaround between Honkai: Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero), we can hope that once the name change is officially approved, we'll soon get a glimpse of Petit Planet in action.
