Vinland Tales: A New Isometric Survival Game from Colossi Games
Colossi Games, creators of Gladiators: Survival in Rome and Daisho: Survival of a Samurai, have launched their latest casual survival title, Vinland Tales. This new game transports players to the frigid north, where they assume the role of a Viking chieftain establishing a colony in uncharted territory.
Familiar elements for fans of Colossi Games' previous work are present. The isometric perspective, low-poly visuals, and relatively relaxed survival mechanics should feel instantly comfortable. Key gameplay revolves around colony building, clan management, and resource gathering.
Vinland Tales offers a rich feature set including minigames, guilds, talent trees, quests, and dungeons, ensuring a substantial amount of content. Cooperative play is also available, allowing players to team up with friends.
A Rapid Release Cycle?
One potential concern is Colossi Games' rapid release schedule. While their ambition to explore diverse settings and historical periods is evident, the question remains whether this approach compromises the depth of their games.
