News
Partner/Indie World Showcase: A Bounty of Games
Nintendo's strategy of combining two smaller showcases proved effective, delivering a wave of announcements. While a complete rundown is impossible here, highlights include several surprise releases (detailed below), Capcom Fighting Collection 2, the Suikoden I & II remasters, Yakuza Kiwami, Tetris Forever, MySims, Worms Armageddon: Anniversary Edition, new entries in the Atelier and Rune Factory franchises, and much more. I strongly recommend watching the full video; it's well worth your time.
Select New Releases
Castlevania Dominus Collection ($24.99)
A fantastic surprise! This third Castlevania compilation features the three Nintendo DS titles: Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin, and Order of Ecclesia. It also includes Haunted Castle, the infamous arcade game, alongside a significantly improved M2 remake. The emulation is superb, and it's packed with features. An incredible value for the price.
Pizza Tower ($19.99)
This Wario Land-inspired platformer is a whirlwind of frantic action. Players must conquer five massive floors of the Pizza Tower to save their restaurant. Fans of Wario's handheld adventures will love this, but even those without strong Wario feelings should check it out if they enjoy platformers. A review is pending.
Goat Simulator 3 ($29.99)
Another unexpected release. It's Goat Simulator 3! You know the drill. Performance on the Switch is uncertain; even more powerful systems have struggled. Proceed with caution, though its chaotic nature might complement any performance issues. Ultimately, it's up to you – silly goats, silly antics, and an open world that may or may not make your Switch overheat.
Peglin ($19.99)
EA's absence of PopCap games on Switch feels like a missed opportunity. For Peggle fans, Peglin is a fantastic alternative. This mobile hit is just as enjoyable on the Switch, blending Peggle mechanics with a turn-based RPG roguelite. A review is coming soon.
Doraemon Dorayaki Shop Story ($20.00)
Kairosoft's familiar shop sim formula gets a Doraemon makeover. The Doraemon license is well-integrated, and fans of the manga and anime will appreciate the attention to detail. Even some characters from the artist's other works make cameo appearances. It's charming.
Pico Park 2 ($8.99)
More Pico Park for existing fans. Up to eight players can join in locally or online. The more, the merrier! Solve puzzle stages requiring teamwork and strategy. A solid sequel, but unlikely to attract new players.
Kamitsubaki City Ensemble ($3.99)
An affordable rhythm game featuring Kamitsubaki Studio music. Simple, but enjoyable for the price.
SokoPenguin ($4.99)
A Sokoban-style puzzle game with a penguin protagonist. One hundred levels of crate-pushing fun.
Q2 Humanity ($6.80)
Over three hundred quirky physics-based puzzles. Players utilize character abilities and drawing to solve problems. Supports up to four players locally or online.
