What is the Pokémon GO Safari Ball?
Long-time Pokémon fans will recognize Safari Zones from the main series games – special areas for catching rare Pokémon without battling. Niantic is recreating this experience with the Wild Area event.
Pokémon GO has seen limited Poké Ball additions. Players regularly use the Poké Ball, Great Ball, and Ultra Ball. Premier Balls and the elusive Master Ball round out the current selection.
The Wild Area event runs globally from November 23rd to 24th, 2024, concluding at 6:15 pm local time. Important: Unused Safari Balls vanish from your inventory after the event ends.
During the event, the Safari Ball becomes the key tool for capturing powerful Pokémon. Niantic's decision to introduce this ball during a new event, rather than existing Safari Zone or City Safari events, adds intrigue.
