Marvel Rivals' Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, launching January 10th at 1 AM PST, introduces a thrilling new map: the Sanctum Sanctorum! This iconic location will host the new Doom Match mode, a chaotic free-for-all battle for 8-12 players where the top half emerge victorious.
This is just one of three maps debuting in Season 1. Midtown Manhattan will be the stage for a fresh convoy mission, while Central Park awaits a later reveal, planned for a substantial mid-season update.
The Sanctum Sanctorum itself is a visual feast, blending opulent décor with the bizarre. A sneak peek reveals floating kitchenware, a strange squid-like creature escaping the fridge, winding staircases, levitating bookshelves, and powerful artifacts. Even a cheerful portrait of Doctor Strange himself adorns the walls. The trailer also offers a first look at Wong, a beloved character new to the game, and Doctor Strange's spectral canine companion, Bats.
The season's narrative pits the heroes against Dracula, with the Fantastic Four taking center stage. Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman join the fight at launch, while Human Torch and The Thing are slated for the mid-season update.
