Hoshimi Miyabi helped Zenless Zone Zero set a new revenue record

HoYoverse's mobile hit, Zenless Zone Zero, continues its impressive market performance. The recent version 1.4 update, titled "And the Starfall Came," propelled the game to a record-breaking $8.6 million in daily mobile player spending, surpassing even its launch day revenue in July 2024.

AppMagic data reveals Zenless Zone Zero's mobile revenue has already exceeded $265 million. Update 1.4's success is attributed to the introduction of new characters, Hoshimi Miyabi and Asaba Harumasa (the latter offered free to all players as a promotional incentive), along with enhanced gameplay mechanics, new environments, and game modes. The Hoshimi Miyabi banner proved particularly lucrative.

This update's impact on player engagement was remarkable. Unlike typical post-update spending declines, Zenless Zone Zero maintained daily revenue exceeding $1 million for over 11 consecutive days, and held above $500,000 even two weeks after the release.

While undeniably successful, Zenless Zone Zero still trails HoYoverse's flagship titles, Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, in overall revenue.
