Helldivers 2 Update 01.000.403: Patch Notes and Resolved Issues
Arrowhead Game Studios has released Helldivers 2 patch 01.000.403, primarily addressing a critical crash bug linked to the FAF-14 Spear weapon. This update also includes a comprehensive suite of bug fixes designed to enhance overall gameplay stability and polish.
The patch resolves a crash introduced in a previous update that affected Spear aiming. Another crash, triggered by unique hellpod patterns during launch cutscenes, has also been eliminated. A significant addition is the global rollout of Japanese voice-overs for both PS5 and PC platforms.
This update further addresses various miscellaneous issues, including:
- Text Fixes: Resolved corrupted text displaying "?" characters in Traditional Chinese.
- Weapon Functionality: The Plasma Punisher now functions correctly with the SH-32 and FX-12 Shield Generators. Quasar cannon heat management accurately reflects hot and cold planet conditions. The Spore Spewer's visual appearance has been corrected. Pink question marks appearing in missions have been removed. The Peak Physique armor passive now correctly modifies weapon ergonomics.
- Gameplay Improvements: Fixed an issue where available Operations reset after reconnecting following inactivity.
Known Issues (Under Development):
While many issues have been resolved, several remain under active development:
- Friend requests via in-game friend codes are currently non-functional.
- Delays in Medal and Super Credit payouts may still occur.
- Deployed mines can become invisible (though remain active).
- Arc weapons exhibit inconsistent behavior and occasional misfires.
- Most weapons fire below the crosshair when aiming down sights.
- The Career tab mission count resets to zero after each game restart.
- Some weapon descriptions are outdated.
- Additional issues include problems with joining games, the positioning of players in the 'Recent Players' list, enemy bleed-out not progressing certain missions, inconsistent Stratagem beam deployment, malfunctioning ship modules ("Hand Carts" and "Superior Packing Methodology"), Bile Titan head damage inconsistencies, player loadout issues when joining in-progress games, reinforcement unavailability in in-progress games, inaccurate planet liberation percentages in Defend missions, and missing progress bars for the "Raise Flag of Super Earth" objective.
Patch 01.000.403 is available now. Arrowhead Game Studios continues to actively monitor player feedback and work towards resolving outstanding issues.
