Valheim Merchant Locations and Inventories: A Complete Guide

Valheim's challenge lies in exploring diverse biomes and gathering resources to defeat bosses. This can be tough, especially in areas like the Swamp and Mountains. Thankfully, merchants offer valuable items to ease your journey. Finding them, however, can be tricky due to procedurally generated worlds. This guide details each merchant's location and inventory.

Finding Haldor (Black Forest Merchant)

Haldor, arguably the easiest to find, spawns within a 1500m radius of the world center. He resides in the Black Forest, accessible relatively early in the game.

He's often near The Elder's spawn point (located near glowing ruins in Burial Chambers). However, for a quicker search, use the Valheim World Generator (created by wd40bomber7) to pinpoint his location based on your world seed. Once found, he remains there, so build a portal for easy access. Trade with him using gold, readily obtained from dungeons and selling gems (Rubies, Amber Pearls, Silver Necklaces, etc.).

Finding Hildir (Meadows Merchant)

Hildir, located in the Meadows, is harder to find than Haldor due to her distant spawn (3000-5100m from the world center, spawn points ~1000m apart).

The Valheim World Generator is the fastest method. Otherwise, search Meadows within the specified radius. A T-Shirt icon appears on the map when you're ~300-400m away. Build a portal after finding her.

Hildir offers clothing with various buffs and quests to retrieve lost items, leading to new dungeons:

• Smouldering Tombs (Black Forest)
• Howling Caverns (Mountains)
• Sealed Towers (Plains)

Completing these quests unlocks new items in her shop.

Finding the Bog Witch (Swamp Merchant)

The Bog Witch, found in the Swamp (a challenging biome), spawns between 3000m and 8000m from the world center (spawn points ~1000m apart). Consider using the World Generator for easier location. A Cauldron icon marks her proximity. She remains in this spot once found; build a portal.

She's unique – a friendly Greydwarf with a magical Kvastur, offering comfort level 3 in her hut and items for new foods and meads.
