Essences are collectible items in MySims, used in crafting and paint creation. Sources range from in-world gathering (apples, flowers) to specific interactions.

Three main essence categories exist: Emotions, Living Things, and Objects. Each has a thematic link, ensuring you create items that resonate with your Sims' personalities and keep them happy. Most essences serve dual purposes: as physical objects and custom paint ingredients.
