State of Decay 3 Delayed Until 2026, Sources Suggest

Xbox insider Jez Corden recently hinted on the Xbox Two podcast that State of Decay 3's release is now projected for 2026. While Undead Labs initially aimed for a 2025 launch, Corden suggests a revised timeline pointing towards an early 2026 release.

He assures fans that development is significantly more advanced than previously perceived, though further specifics remain undisclosed. This news might disappoint some, yet it's a more optimistic prediction compared to earlier rumors suggesting a 2027 launch.

June 2024 saw the release of a new trailer, offering glimpses of intense zombie gunfights and Mad Max-style post-apocalyptic vehicles. The game's narrative will unfold years after the apocalypse, focusing on human survivors establishing fortified settlements to combat the undead threat.

State of Decay 3 is slated for release on PC and Xbox Series consoles. The last installment in the series launched in 2018.
