A charming new puzzle platformer, Cato: Buttered Cat, is coming soon to Android! The game's whimsical name perfectly encapsulates its unique gameplay: a cat and a piece of buttered toast team up to solve puzzles.
Ever wonder what happens when you attach buttered toast to a cat's back? The creators of Cato: Buttered Cat did, and the result is a delightful, physics-defying adventure! The cat, defying gravity, spins endlessly in a comical loop.
Initially a 2022 BOOOM Gamejam entry by Team Woll, the game's positive reception led to its full development. Currently available on Steam for PC, Cato: Buttered Cat is slated for release on Android and other platforms. While the Google Play page isn't yet live, you can pre-register on the official TapTap page.
Gameplay:
Control both the cat and the buttered toast to navigate 200 levels across five whimsical worlds. The cat exhibits typical feline agility, while the toast serves as a projectile, launching to help the cat reach otherwise inaccessible areas. Solve puzzles, overcome enemies, and uncover a hidden narrative woven throughout the levels. Enjoy 30 unique outfits and discover hidden rooms and Easter eggs.
The interaction between the cat and the toast is a key element, creating inventive solutions to the game's challenges.
