Radical Fish Games, creators of the celebrated action RPG CrossCode, unveil their next title: Alabaster Dawn. Initially known as "Project Terra," this 2.5D action RPG casts players as Juno, the Outcast Chosen, tasked with resurrecting humanity after a devastating event orchestrated by the goddess Nyx.
Gamescom Appearance and Early Access Plans
The studio will showcase Alabaster Dawn at Gamescom 2024, offering limited hands-on opportunities. A public demo is also planned for release ahead of the Steam Early Access launch, currently slated for late 2025. The game is available for wishlisting on Steam now.
Fast-Paced Combat and Extensive Gameplay
Inspired by action RPG classics like Devil May Cry and Kingdom Hearts, Alabaster Dawn promises 30-60 hours of gameplay across seven diverse regions. Players will engage in thrilling combat, utilizing eight unique weapons with individual skill trees. Beyond combat, the game features parkour, puzzle-solving, enchantment systems, and even cooking mechanics. The developers highlighted a significant development milestone: the first 1-2 hours of gameplay are nearly complete.
The game's narrative centers on rebuilding settlements, establishing trade routes, and ultimately, breaking Nyx's curse on the ravaged world of Tiran Sol. With its blend of fast-paced action, compelling narrative, and extensive gameplay features, Alabaster Dawn is shaping up to be a highly anticipated title for fans of the genre.
