In the "Fool Flip" variant, the classic mode of play, the attacker can throw a card to the defender. If they have no suitable card, the turn passes to the player to the defender's left, who can throw one card. Once beaten, the right to attack reverts to the original attacker. If the player to the left has no card to throw, the turn moves clockwise, allowing all players to participate in turn, hence the name "Flip Fool."

"Fool Transferable" adds an exciting layer to the game. From the second move onward, the defender can "transfer" a card by placing a card of the same rank but different suit on the table, shifting the defense to the next player in a clockwise direction. This dynamic transfer can continue, adding strategic depth and excitement to the game, aptly naming it "Fool Transferable."
