Rinascita offers numerous discoveries, including intricate puzzles like Morph Paintings. These paintings are integral to two puzzle types: Overflowing Palettes and restoration tasks.
Morph Painting restoration puzzles are straightforward and rewarding, providing valuable resources such as Astrites. This guide explains their mechanics, locations, and solutions.
Restoring Morph Paintings in Wuthering Waves
Restoration involves placing the correct paintings on designated pedestals. Examine the pedestal descriptions, locate the matching portrait, and use the Levitator utility to position it. The game usually auto-equips the Levitator; otherwise, press Tab/D-Pad Left to equip it manually.
Currently, two such puzzles exist, integrated into the "Shadow of the Towers: Resounding Rise" and "Trials of Old" quests.
Shadow of the Towers: Resounding Rise Morph Painting Puzzle
The "Shadows of the Past" questline in Wuthering Waves requires exploration of Thorncrown's three towers, with Resounding Rise containing a Morph Painting puzzle. Solve it as follows (using the central painting as a reference):
- Interchange the front-left and back-right paintings.
- Move the painting behind the left pedestals to the back-left pedestal.
- Move the painting behind the right chairs to the front-right pedestal.
Completing the puzzle reveals a chest, allowing quest progression.
Trials of Old Morph Painting Puzzle
The "Trials of Old" quest involves four trials near Porto-Veno Castle in Thessaleo Fells. The Trial of Wisdom features another Morph Painting puzzle requiring chronological arrangement of paintings (left to right). The solution is depicted above.
A simple way to verify correct placement is to observe the painting frame illuminating upon successful insertion. This shortcut bypasses the puzzle's core mechanic.
