Speculation abounds that this launch is linked to Sega's ambitious "Super Game" project, announced in 2022. Sega CEO Haruki Satomi described it as "a large-scale global title" targeting release by March 2026.

The Sega Account platform may mark the beginning of a new era for Sega, with the full impact of these plans yet to be revealed.
